ENGAGEMENTS<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the coming season, Kateryna Kasper makes her house debut at the Theater an der Wien<\/strong> in a new production of Handel\u2019s Rinaldo<\/em> under the musical direction of Francesco Corti<\/strong> and directed by Nadja Loschky<\/strong>, in which she sings the role of Armida<\/strong> for the first time. She also makes her debut at the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music<\/strong>. A new aria programme Queen Christina\u2019s World<\/em> takes her together with the Helsinki Baroque Orchestra<\/strong> and Cecilia Bernardini<\/strong> to Helsinki<\/strong> and Riga<\/strong>, while a chamber music programme featuring works by Mozart<\/strong> and Gluck<\/strong> brings her to Santiago de Compostela<\/strong>. With a New Year\u2019s concert featuring arias by Mozart<\/strong> and Haydn<\/strong> with the Symphony Orchestra of the Czech Radio<\/strong>, she returns to Prague<\/strong>. Further projects include performances of Faur\u00e9\u2019s<\/strong> Requiem<\/em> as well as Leonard Bernstein\u2019s<\/strong> Chichester Psalms<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Among her recent successes are her role debuts as M\u00e9lisande in Debussy\u2019s<\/strong> Pell\u00e9as et M\u00e9lisande<\/em> at the Longborough Festival Opera<\/strong> (UK opera debut), as Cleopatra<\/strong> in Handel\u2019s<\/strong> Giulio Cesare<\/em>, and as Mica\u00ebla<\/strong> in Bizet\u2019s<\/strong> Carmen<\/em> at the Oper Frankfurt<\/strong>. As Elettra<\/strong> in Mozart\u2019s<\/strong> Idomeneo<\/em> and Arianna<\/strong> in Vivaldi\u2019s<\/strong> Il Giustino<\/em>, she appeared with the Freiburg Baroque Orchestra<\/strong> under the direction of Ren\u00e9 Jacobs<\/strong> at, among others, the Teatro Real<\/strong> in Madrid<\/strong>, the Liceu<\/strong> in Barcelona<\/strong>, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg<\/strong>, the Palau de la M\u00fasica<\/strong> in Valencia<\/strong>, the Konzerthaus Freiburg<\/strong>, the Heidelberger Fr\u00fchling Music Festival<\/strong>, and deSingel<\/strong> in Antwerp<\/strong>. As Arianna<\/strong>, she had previously already been celebrated in Barbora Hor\u00e1kov\u00e1\u2019s<\/strong> production with the Akademie f\u00fcr Alte Musik Berlin<\/strong> at the Staatsoper Berlin<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

Further engagements took her to the Salzburg Festival<\/strong> as Soprano I in Mozart\u2019s<\/strong> Mass in C minor<\/em>, as well as to the Tonhalle Z\u00fcrich<\/strong> with Haydn\u2019s<\/strong> The Creation<\/em>. She also performed Mahler\u2019s<\/strong> Resurrection Symphony<\/em> at the Gstaad Menuhin Festival<\/strong> under the direction of Jaap van Zweden<\/strong>, Brahms\u2019<\/strong> A German Requiem<\/em> together with the Bochum Symphony Orchestra<\/strong>, and Bach\u2019s<\/strong> St John Passion<\/em> with the Orquesta Filarm\u00f3nica de Gran Canaria<\/strong> under the direction of Karel Mark Chichon<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

With Collegium 1704<\/strong> under the direction of V\u00e1clav Luks<\/strong>, she sang the role of Isacco<\/strong> in Myslive\u010dek\u2019s<\/strong> impressive work Abramo ed Isacco<\/em> at venues including the Rudolfinum<\/strong> in Prague<\/strong> and the Concertgebouw Amsterdam<\/strong>, as well as the title role in Handel\u2019s<\/strong> oratorio Susanna<\/em> at the Litomy\u0161l Smetana Festival<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

With the Basel Chamber Orchestra<\/strong>, she recently performed Handel\u2019s<\/strong> Aci, Galatea e Polifemo<\/em> in Barcelona<\/strong>, Vienna<\/strong>, and Basel<\/strong>, as well as at the Halle Handel Festival<\/strong>; with the same work, she also made her Canadian debut with the Arion Baroque Orchestra<\/strong> in Montr\u00e9al<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the role of Piacere<\/strong> in Handel\u2019s<\/strong> Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno<\/em>, she appeared together with the B\u2019Rock Orchestra<\/strong> under the direction of Ren\u00e9 Jacobs<\/strong> at the Tongyeong International Music Festival<\/strong>, the Seoul Arts Center<\/strong>, and Tokyo Opera City<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n
